We can help. Beginner or expert, Oil Creek Outfitters has the experience, knowledge, and products to help you succeed. Whether you are chasing trout across the country or tarpon on the Florida flats, we have been there and will let you know what you need, and unlike most, will tell you what you don’t need! We will do everything possible to help you have a pleasant and successful day on the water.

Mike Laskowski has been in the fly-fishing business for 33 years, starting out in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, and then opening his shop on the banks of Oil Creek twenty years ago. Mike is a fly designer for Umpqua Feather Merchants, a FFF (Federation of Fly Fishers) Certified Fly Casting Instructor, and has delivered his aquatic entomology media presentation to many organizations, among them the IGFA (International Game Fish Association) in Dania Beach, Florida.

He is indebted to his father for getting him “hooked” on fly-fishing, and his mom for putting up with it; and Joe Tweedle and Stan “Junior” Cooper for mentoring and helping him perfect his skills as a fly tyer.
